Martina says...

  • Washing and moisturising your feet on a regular basis, making sure you dry them properly (especially between the toes), can help prevent the risk of problems such as Athlete's Foot, fungal nails or cracked heels.
  • Aches & pains in your feet can have many causes and should not be ignored as they could be a sign of a problem that could affect your overall health.
  • Your feet take the weight of your whole body so foot problems can quickly lead to discomfort and affect the way you walk. This in turn can cause knee, hip and back pain.
  • Wear shoes that are comfortable and fit well to help prevent corns and calluses caused by friction.
  • Wearing cotton-rich socks - and changing them daily - helps you to avoid conditions such as Athlete's Foot by absorbing sweat and allowing your feet to breathe.
  • Change your footwear daily to reduce the chance of any fungal bacteria developing as shoes can take up to 24 hours to dry out completely after wearing them.
  • Keep active to maintain good circulation in your feet and legs.
